Full Circle – Renovation of a townhouse and performance hall

The project involves the complete renovation and extension of a historic townhouse and its adjoining performance hall, located on Chaussée de Vleurgat in Ixelles. Listed on the Brussels heritage inventory, the ensemble will host the cultural and debate activities of Full Circle, an international forum for ideas and exchange.

The intervention seeks to preserve the building’s original architectural character while meeting contemporary standards of comfort, acoustics, and safety. The townhouse is undergoing a careful restoration: interior details, mouldings, and the central staircase are retained and enhanced. At the rear, the performance hall is redesigned and acoustically upgraded to ensure optimal sound quality, while the connecting spaces are reimagined to improve circulation and create a more welcoming foyer.

The project also integrates green roofs, sustainable rainwater management, and improved soil permeability, reflecting a commitment to sustainability and sensitive urban integration.
